Valerie

Busking at a Sunshine Coast market, Valerie was approached to perform her first wedding at fourteen years of age. Since then, she’s performed solo, in a duo, and in a band at events, functions and gigs across Australia’s East Coast and abroad. Having also had success under her original music project 'Ayla', you can hear her cover of 'Throw Your Arms Around Me' (Hunters and Collectors) as the feature of NRMA's 'Help is Who We Are' campaign. Performing easy listening popular music (spanning the last fifty years), a gig with Valerie will treat your ears to all your favourite songs, sung with a voice reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, Florence Welsh and Sarah Blasko. Having performed gigs including: council functions, weddings, christenings, wedding anniversaries, special events and even the 2016 Brisbane International (playing music, not tennis!), Valerie is well equipped for whatever your musical needs are.
